Casing impregnation is a very important procedure. I coat the inside with undiluted epoxy resin and put fiberglass. In this case, the fabric is 150-160 kg/m2, in pieces left over from other models.
I also glue additional logs along the edge of the board. First, the structure is strengthened. Second, when I saw off the board to dig in the waterway and the bulwark, there would be something to hold it on. Third, to have something to lay the deck on when I glue it. I use the logs with which I attached the ribs to the rungs.
I sand the board so they are flush with the ribs and along the curve of the deck.
