RC модел U.S.C.G.C Acushnet - 5
I separate the trough from the rung with the help of a flat screwdriver.
Then I break the rib extensions. I also knock out the inside of the ribs.
The body is trimmed, I have completely removed the 3 and 19 and 1/2 ribs - it will interfere with the installation of the rudders.
And I decided to put it on the scale. It's been pretty easy so far.
In general, a ready-to-float model, according to preliminary calculations, should be 3.7 - 3.9 kg. With the current light batteries and motors I would certainly need lead to sink the model to the waterline. It will also be more stable.
After circumcision there is also "transplantation". I use a poplar board for the bow and stern log. It is very easy to process.
