I glue and trim the decks, I use 2mm Bulgarian poplar plywood.
After that, I dig a channel in which the sheet metal of the bulwark and the waterway will lie. In places it is noticeable that the entire paneling of the board has been removed. That's why I put the logs on the board in advance. I fix the bulkhead with nails and glue with epoxy resin.
I use 0.5mm brass sheet for the bulwark and the waterway. It is easy to clean and does not rust. For the curves in the back and front, I first make a template out of cardboard and then cut the sheet metal. Waterway is straight strips. The height of the waterway and bulwark is greater than necessary to allow room for filing and smoothing to final size.
In the rear part of the bulwark, the gunwale is not flat, but semi-circular. I used F3 copper wire.
