For the superstructures I will use 0.3 and 0.5 mm sheet brass. The good thing is that there is no limit in the materials used. Sheet metal, plastic, cardboard, etc. The final result is important.
I start with the transition from the upper deck (tank) to the lower deck (main).
Since the deck is made of plywood and I can't glue the waterway to it, I make a false deck out of sheet metal, which will go under the wooden deck when installed. On it I solder the waterway, and the superstructure of the lower deck. The height of the waterway is the normal height (1.4-1.6mm) + the thickness of the plywood (2mm).
Working with sheet metal always results in uneven surfaces, but that's why there's primer and putty and sandpaper.
